It didn't stand up to my youngest's attempts to make juice either so it got recycled.

A smoothie is a good way to get fruit into my boys, especially my eldest who doesn't eat a lot otherwise. Instead of making myself tea and porridge, I make a smoothie. It takes no more time in fact. Caffeine kills vitamin C plus a bunch of other vitamins and minerals so there's no point drinking a cuppa with a smoothie. The orange juice wakes me up instead. :)Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13195684182481935384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18862674.post-70806570096729591462014-02-13T20:05:37.722+01:002014-02-13T20:05:37.722+01:00I used to have a juicer but I gave it awry on Free...I used to have a juicer but I gave it awry on Freecycle! Nobody's getting me drinking green stuff for breakfast. Ikk. Then it broke and I didn't bother to replace it or mend it. I much prefer smoothies because you get all the fibre, and you can eat a variety of fruit in one glass plus sneak in other stuff to make it more nutritious.

The price I paid is also the price for a good Moulinex so it's a lot but not that much. Not compared to a Vitamix anyway which is a ridiculous price.

I'm going to make a butternut soup in my blender today. You just chuck in the ingredients and whizz it for 4 minutes. That's a lot of money for what is basically a blender, but if it's doing the job then a worthwhile investment. I had a juicer but found the amount of fruit and vegetables needed to produce a small glass of juice was crazy, so we just ate them instead. :) May your Omniblend bring you all health and happiness for many years.SusieKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03839407308263118784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18862674.post-44867859299161402802014-02-05T17:01:12.288+01:002014-02-05T17:01:12.288+01:00I was missing a grinder too.
