Late Arrivals

Feeling a tad shattered today...

The train from Paris to Montpellier left on time, with me sitting snugly in an individual seat in First Class. Then some poor bugger committed suicide at Macon station by jumping in front of a train.

Result: we arrived three hours late. So from a respectable, liveable, 20h49, we snuck in at midnight. I was thankful I'd had a bag full of cheese flavour, cheese & onion flavour, BBQ flavour and Salt 'n' Vinegar flavour crisps; some ham sarnies, mince pies, gin & tonic, red wine, clementines and a good book. Oh, and thank GOODNESS for MP3 players!! I was thus nicely cocooned in my little world of food, reading about John Robinson, the first internet love scam serial killer who operated in Kansas in the late 90s (Anyone You Want Me to Be: A True Story of Sex and Death on the Internet by John Douglas) and music. There's a lot to be said for life in a cocoon...

Surprisingly, I've put on a couple of kilos over Christmas...

More anon!

Happy New Year!
