News from The Telegraph blogs

I am more than a little amazed that The Telegraph (www.telegraph.co.uk) has now got its act together and grouped all its blogs onto one contents page (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml;jsessionid=3VF5F0G4LPJXFQFIQMGSFFOAVCBQWIV0?xml=/news/campaigns/weblogindex.xml). You will be astounded to know there are six blogs in total and quite why they kept their lights under a bushel is beyond me. Colin Randall is the Paris correspondent so I'll have to check out his blogs which will hopefully be as entertaining as Charles Bremner's. I particularly enjoy them as they refer to French life and eccentricities to which I feel I can contribute with but a little authority, having lived here for 15years.

The year thus starts well.

It ended rather dramatically with sheet ice on Friday night, and you stepped outside at your peril. Thankfully it didn't stay long enough to disrupt the New Year's Eve celebrations and a merry time was had by all.

So, Happy New Year to one and all; I hope it's a good one. I'm hoping to finish my book and finish getting divorced as the main tasks for 2006; get financially stable and buy a newer car.

Cheers!
