Video Presentation of my Python Project

I had to present my Python project to the other students in the MOOC, and I did this using a very nifty software called Screencast-o-matic which lets you film yourself using the webcam and also records your screen and mouse action at the same time. For free, too, in the basic version which was perfect for what I had to do.

See me in action on my video explaining what I did, here:

  1. Look at you! I always wondered how people did that 'video in the screen thingy'. It's brilliant, Sarah x

    1. One of the fab things about doing a MOOC like the Python one where everyone is doing the same stuff at the same time and there are forums to discuss everything, is that people share their knowledge. It was in one discussion that someone mentioned the Screencast-o-matic software, and I thought yes! That's what I need.

I'm glad you liked it Trish. It was great fun to make and took many takes as I got interrupted by my boys, the phone, silly mistakes, swearing, etc. :)

My vid is yet to go viral however... x

  4. I've been meaning to come back to this for ages and watch it on full screen. Am so rarely at my lap top nowadays and also my kids are at the age of nicking it when not. Anyway, that is awesome! That google map with all the red pointers blew me away *impressed face* I thought you'd say that the main reason there was such a high concentration of serious accidents in the city was coz they all consume so much alcohol. Hadn't thought of the couriers! Great to see you in the flesh and hear you talking. Your English accent is still intact and quite posh, glad to hear ;) Many congratulations on your project - it's brilliant :)
